New Shirt Day

This is the next batch of shirts I have coming in.  The Phreshmode shirt at the bottom, most likely won't be that colour though.

I've got one more with the Air Jordan 4s on it but I haven't come to a final decision on that yet as Spreadshirt seems to have issues when it comes to saving your cart.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how the premium shirts come out.  They're not much more expensive than the basic shirt so hopefully, the quality is that much better.

Logo Revision

So, I've decided to redo the logo and make it a bit easier to connect with.  The new logo is based on the Ghanian Adinkra symbol for creativity and wisdom.  Called the "Ananse" from which the name Anansi is derived (check out American Gods by Neil Gaiman.  Very good book, television show?  Kinda) the pattern is a seven-pronged shape to, abstractly, represent a spider's web.  I chose to go with a flower that is seven-pedaled as flowers are the theme of my art and spiderwebs just aren't very fresh.

It's also semi-inspired by De La Soul, and the death of Trugoy as their great album 3 Feet High and Rising had a flowery theme to the album cover and Tru Goy had just passed.

Anyway, I'll be showcasing my latest creations featuring my new logo here in a little bit and I'm looking forward to seeing them in person, on a shirt, myself.

So this is the logo that is going to go on my designs going forward.  Still not officially a clothing line but you never know.

It's simple, which is the way I tend to like to design and I can change the colour of the background to suit the graphic design on the shirt because I really didn't wanna go with a distinct colour.

I'm thinking that even the lettering will be interchangeable but I'm going to go with this font often.

Daily Designs: New Projects

 

So, these are the next three shirts I have coming in.  The first is my own design, obviously, and the other two are from the Spreadshirt Marketplace.  It's a great source of income for designers as they get a cut of the sale from whatever you buy.  

I'm a big MF Doom fan, he's my favourite rapper of all time and there are a lot of MF Doom designs in the marketplace so I went with the two best designs, in my own opinion.  I really like the drawn design on the bottom shirt.

I think I'm gonna get a few more of these in the summer, I'm just going to change the shirt colour.  I was originally looking at a local shop to get these done at but the price was a little bit out of hand so I'm gonna stick with Spreadshirt for the time being,
